Terms & Conditions

1. Scope. These terms govern the rental of vehicles without driver by Polo - Aluguer de Automóveis, Lda. (tax number 501788913), based in Alvor, Portimão. Booking on this site implies acceptance of these terms.

2. Booking and confirmation. A booking is confirmed when the confirmation email is sent and requires no prepayment. The price shown on the site is final and includes basic insurance, unlimited mileage and one additional driver.

3. Payment. Payment can be made at pick-up or online at the time of booking, through Stripe.

4. Driver requirements. We rent to drivers aged 21 to 79, holding a driving licence valid for at least 2 years on the day of pick-up. Drivers under 23 pay the young driver fee shown at booking.

5. Documents at pick-up. All drivers must present a valid driving licence, an ID document (identity card or passport) and the card required by the chosen rate, in the name of the main driver.

6. Fuel. The vehicle is delivered with a fuel level and must be returned with the same level. Missing fuel is charged at return.

7. Excess and cover. Each rate has the excess and cover shown at booking and on the conditions page. Damage excluded by the chosen rate is the responsibility of the customer.

8. Pick-up and return. Locations, dates and times are those stated in the booking. Changes must be arranged with Polo in advance.

9. Cancellation and no-show. You can cancel or change the booking at no cost up to the pick-up time. If you do not show up and we cannot reach you, the booking lapses at no cost.

10. Fines and tolls. Tolls and any fines during the rental period are the responsibility of the driver.

11. Accidents and breakdowns. In case of accident, breakdown or damage, contact Polo immediately. 24/7 roadside assistance is included in all rates.

12. Personal data. The data collected is used exclusively to manage the booking and the rental contract, under the Privacy Policy.

13. Disputes. In case of dispute, consumers may use the electronic Complaints Book and the competent alternative dispute resolution entities.
